Do you know the rules of the game when it comes to fireproofing? With a certification, you gain important skills that many clients demand today. FireSeal’s one-day training consists of a comprehensive course that includes both theoretical knowledge and practical installation exercises.

FIREPROOFING REQUIREMENTS ARE INCREASING

Carrying out fire sealing without the necessary knowledge can have life-threatening consequences. It poses a great risk to both buildings and people, and it is common for practitioners who do not have adequate training to fail their seals when it comes time for inspection. Andreas Fransson, Key Account Manager and Head of Training at FireSeal, therefore advises everyone who comes into contact with fire sealing in their professional role to get trained.

– Companies and organizations are increasingly demanding when it comes to fire protection, which means that they in turn place ever higher demands on, among other things, fire seals. Therefore, there is much to be gained from training in fire sealing if you perform these as part of your job, says Andreas Fransson.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE TRAINING?

In the first instance, these are the people who will be doing the fire sealing, such as electricians, plumbers and construction workers. But inspectors, designers and fire consultants also benefit from the training and can often do their job even better when they add this knowledge.

Andreas Fransson explains that during the training they go through the requirements for sealing and that the participants receive both theoretical knowledge and practical training through assembly exercises. They also learn how to document their work correctly. This results in a broad competence that many large clients demand.

– “Our training is comprehensive and we also go through the parts of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s building regulations that concern the requirements for fire sealing,” says Andreas Fransson.

The training lasts a full day and is held at one of FireSeal’s offices in Stockholm or Kungälv. The certification course can also be arranged at one of FireSeal’s dealers, or at companies that choose to send many participants. After the course, all participants receive a certificate and can call themselves certified fire sealing installers. The course is also accredited by ID06, which means that the trainees’ certification certificates are listed in the competence database.
