As you may already know by now, construction workers and electricians now do a lot of fireproofing jobs. But even if it’s not your or your client’s primary area of expertise, knowing what products are needed to do a good job doesn’t have to be difficult.

READY-MADE COMBINATIONS FOR EASIER SELLING

Fireproofing is an important job that needs to be done right, but it doesn’t have to be unnecessarily complicated for that. For someone who is not primarily involved in fire sealing, the job itself can be challenging enough – there’s no need to make the choice and knowledge of products more difficult.

– Fire sealing can involve anything from steel pipes and cables to plastic pipes and ventilation. Add to this the fact that you also have to choose a product that works for outdoor or indoor environments. There are many parameters to take into account if you are to find out for yourself which product is best suited,” says Andreas Fransson, Key Account Manager and Training Manager at FireSeal.

With pre-packaged combinations, both you as a retailer and your customer can be sure that you choose the right one.

“IT SHOULD BE EASY TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE”

To meet this challenge, FireSeal has created a system of product combinations to facilitate retailers and end users. With a single kit, up to 95% of all fire sealing can be achieved in the environment for which the specific kit is adapted.

– For example, if you choose Flex-D for dry environments (Flex-D Reactive Blanket System), you can handle virtually any indoor environment, regardless of whether it is ventilation pipes, cables or steel pipes that need to be sealed. This makes it easier for dealers to both sell and recommend the right kit to customers, and it makes it easy for the end customer to do the right thing when it comes to fire sealing,” says Andreas Fransson.

But making it easy is not just about a simple product choice. Many fire seals are carried out in the form of a retrofit, i.e. going into an old seal and improving it. Unfortunately, the old seal is often difficult to work with because the material used for the first seal was hard.

– Whether you are fire sealing for the first or second time, it should not be unnecessarily difficult to perform a good and safe seal. That’s why we work exclusively with soft fire sealing products,” concludes Andreas Fransson.
