Description

Reactive is a water-based acrylic compound with heat-swelling properties. It cures to a semi-flexible seal and prevents the penetration of fire, smoke, gas and water. Reactive is also part of the Reactive Board System [Universal] and the Reactive Blanket System [Flex D] fire sealing systems. Unhardened material can be removed with a damp cloth. Hardened material is removed mechanically.

Area of use

Reactive is primarily intended for use in various indoor fire sealing applications, e.g. as an alternative to silicone-based products in FireSeal's Reactive Board System [Universal] and Reactive Blanket System [Flex D] fire sealing systems. Reactive is also approved as a sealant around PVC plastic electrical conduits and for Pex pipes.
