EI 180
Description
The Fire Box is made of a thin-walled steel material and contains an intumescent graphite material and a smoke and gas seal. In the event of a fire, the foam material prevents smoke and gas from passing through the box. While the intumescent graphite material in the center expands to maintain the fire integrity and insulation ability of the floor or wall. The Fire Box can be opened to provide an easy alternative to “retrofitting” where
cables or pipes are pre-installed. Once installed, the box requires no further maintenance. During installation, a metal frame is used to hold the box in place and a frame is fitted from each side. To ensure correct installation, the space between the box and the wall/floor is sealed with Reactive [FS400] acrylic sealant alt. Flex [FS3000] silicone sealant.
Area of use
Fire Box is designed for fire sealing in fire classes EI 60 to EI 180 with cables, metal pipes and plastic pipes, depending on insulation and wall construction.
