EI 180
Description
Fire rated grommet for cables and pipes. The connector consists of a steel sleeve internally coated with a heat-expanding paint. When heated, e.g. under the influence of fire, the internal coating swells and effectively seals against the penetration of fire, gas and smoke.
Area of use
The cutter is a very easy product to assemble. A penetration and fire seal in one. It is intended for sealing in fire class EI 30 to EI 180 of various types of
cables and plastic pipes penetrating fire rated walls. The cutter can also be installed in existing fire seals of various
types. You do not need to know exactly which, or how many, cables to run when installing the cutter, a simple estimate is sufficient. To change
cables or supplementing with new ones is therefore very easy. The cutter seals effectively even when it is empty. The divisible cutter makes it possible to fireproof cables even after they have been pulled.
